Just me?

Just me?

A question I often meet is how many people work in my company?

Well there am only me.

This is often a huge surprise for people who do not understand how I get all the thinks done.

The simple answer is outsourcing. Everything that is not cure knowledge in my company is outsourced. My office for example is in an office hotel that provides all the services that a company needs like reception, meeting room, mail handling etc.

But how do I determine what to outsource? The rule that I have is:  If it is something that a customer will ask me about it does not get outsourced. This is needed so I can give a quick answer. A customer may ask me how to use the flash or how to install the software so that cannot be outsourced but a customer will never ask me how to host my homepage so that can be outsourced.

All in all a company can be run with very limited manpower if the will to outsource is present.
